Dr. Chapman graduated with Honors in Chemistry from Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vermont in 1990.

Dr. Chapman graduated from Rush Medical College in Chicago. He was elected to and served as president of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, Zeta chapter.

He completed residencies in General Surgery and Urology at the University of Virginia in 2001.

He served as Assistant Professor of Surgery (Urology) at the Brown University School of Medicine in Providence RI, and an attending surgeon at the Marshfield Clinic in Wisconsin.

He then completed a one year Fellowship in Urologic Oncology, Robotic and Laparoscopic surgery at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo in 2007.
